I have worked as a prosecuting attorney, often in a supervisory capacity, in the District Courts of Holyoke, Westfield, Chicopee, Palmer, Springfield and the juvenile court. As a Superior Court Prosecutor I have won convictions at trial on the most complex and serious of criminal cases including murder, violent assault, drug trafficking and weapons offenses. I have successfully defended these same types of cases at trials in the State court and have completed trials in many Federal criminal cases. I have also argued numerous cases in front of the State’s appellate courts.
Having worked through all stages of litigation on both sides of the courtroom within the State’s trial and appellate courts, I have been provided an unparalleled opportunity to fully understand the dynamics of criminal prosecution in Hampden County. I have extensive experience as both a defense attorney and prosecutor with the various forensic sciences including DNA, crime scene reconstruction, ballistics, fingerprint and blood spatter analysis, handwriting and impact brain injury analysis. Throughout my many years of trying serious and complicated criminal cases, I have applied most of this specialized knowledge during trials.
